First Choice [Obviously]: Ms. Sonia Gandhi, Congress Working Committee President
Second Choice [Reluctantly]: Dr. Manmohan Singh, Hon. Prime Minister of India
Third Choice [Well, we need 'someone' important]: Ms. Pratibha Patil, Hon. President of India
Such is the mockery of the Executive positions of the Republic of India. Its a pity indeed. Yes, it is upto the government to decide. Nevertheless, no person is greater than the Constitutional heads of the Country.

I saw the ad the other day on TV...where there is this huge mass of janta waiting to use a newly made flyover, but can't because some VVIP had to come and inaugurate it. at this point our hero arrives (i think it was a bike or a scooter ad), takes the scissors from the hands of hassled party member and cuts the ribbon off and throw the punch line " agar main itna bada bridge design or build kar sakta hoon, toh use inaugurate bhi kar sakta hoon ( assumed he was the chief engineer of sorts)"...wah wah :D
